Terms & Conditions
Definitions
Terms and Conditions protect both of our interests. The most important thing is that you have a safe and relaxing stay with us. By making a reservation, you are accepting the Terms and Conditions. In these Terms and Conditions, “you”, “your”, “guest” and “guests” means all persons named on the booking and “we”, “us”, “our”, “ourselves”, “owner” and the “Old Stores” means Ruth Moucharafieh, owner of The Old Stores Bed and Breakfast.
1. Arrival and Departure:
Check-in is from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on the day of arrival. Check-out is on or before 10:30am. Check-in/out times outside these periods may be available, but please discuss with us in advance. If on the day of arrival guests are delayed and expect to arrive later than 7:00pm, please telephone on 07939378844 to keep the owner informed about expected arrival times. If arriving late, minimum disruption and noise to other guests is appreciated.

2. Bookings & Deposit
2.1 The advertised rates of The Old Stores Bed and Breakfast are per room, per night and include breakfast for up to two guests. The price agreed at reservation is guaranteed. In order to secure your reservation, valid credit or debit card details (or a PayPal account) must be provided.
2.2 If you are booking through The Old Stores’ website, at the time of booking, you will be charged a deposit equivalent to 25% of the cost your entire stay, i.e. each room for each night booked (“the deposit”). The remaining balance is due at check-out. If you cancel your reservation in accordance with clause 4.2, the deposit will be refunded in full.
2.3 Online reservations via third-party websites may be subject to different terms and conditions.
2.4 You must ensure you have the means to pay your bill on check-out, before you check-in. If you cannot pay the balance at check-out, we reserve the right to charge the balance to the card (or PayPal account) which you used to pay the deposit.
2.5 Our rooms are subject to availability, and whilst every effort is made to ensure you are given the room of your choice, we reserve the right to withdraw the availability of any room without notice at any time. Under such circumstances we will make reasonable efforts to offer you an alternative room without penalty to us, but again subject to availability.
2.6 We will take reasonable steps to advise you if a change to your reservation or indeed a cancellation of your reservation was unfortunately necessary. The owner will not be liable for any losses, expenses or costs incurred by you as a result of us having to change or cancel your reservation. In the event of us cancelling your reservation, any payments already made will be refunded in full.
2.7 We are unable to guarantee your booking without a valid debit or credit card or PayPal account. Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express, personal cheques or travelers' cheques.
3. Non-Arrivals
Non-arrivals (also known as 'no shows') will be charged the entire cost of the stay, i.e. each room for each night booked.
4. Cancellations
4.1 Any intention to cancel a reservation must be made in writing, by email to (EMAIL ADDRESS). We may contact you by telephone to confirm this.
4.2 You can cancel your booking, free of charge, up to at least 2 days before your stay. For the avoidance of doubt, if, for example, your stay were to begin on a Friday, we would need to be informed of your intention to cancel the booking on or before the Tuesday of that week. In such a case, the deposit paid will be refunded in full.
4.3 If you cancel your stay within 2 days of your stay, you will be charged 50% of the total cost of your stay (“the cancellation fee”). The deposit monies already paid will be taken into account, so if you have already paid a 25% deposit, you will be charged a further 25% of the total cost of your stay. For the avoidance of doubt, if, for example, your stay were to begin on a Friday, and you informed us of your intention to cancel on the Wednesday of that week, we reserve the right to charge you the cancellation fee.
4.4 We reserve the right to waive the cancellation fee at our sole discretion.
4.5 If your booking has to be cancelled due to government-imposed restrictions relating to the coronavirus, you have the flexibility to move the reservation to an alternative available date at no additional cost.
4.6 If you suspect that you will need to cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as possible or at least 1 week prior to your stay. We are a small business and cancellations have a big impact on us. We advise you to take out a suitable insurance product to cover against unexpected costs.
4.7 Third party booking sites (for example Expedia) may have their own cancellation policies which may vary from our own. You must check that you are happy with any cancellation policy before booking. If you book through a third party, the cancellation policy of the third party takes precedence over our own.
